We are looking for a autonomous, self-motivated developer to add to our team that enjoys collaborating and rolling their sleeves up to get the job done. We try to minimize red tape and office politics and put as much focus on prioritizing and solving problems first.

Ideally this candidate has prior experience in the web hosting industry, and/or experience with WHMCS.

This role is fully remote, with the management team located in CST / EST timezones, shift will be expected to be 9 AM EST to 5 PM EST. No travel required.

• Working with the NameHero leadership to collaborate and identify how to approach certain problems or opportunities in the most efficient way possible
• Building effective ways to increase conversion or drive revenue for the business
• Helps implement and lead work done by outsourced designers or developers as needed
• Sets the groundwork for us to grow our engineering department

• Programming language expertise in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL
• Prior experience working with WHMCS is a huge plus
• Development tool expertise with Git; Linux command line and shell; unit testing; bug tracking & workflows; IDEs
• Expertise in two or more of the following: Web Servers (apache, LiteSpeed); Mail Servers (Exim, Sendmail, etc); DNS Servers (BIND); Linux Filesystems
• Able to successfully and efficiently perform code reviews according to the code standards of WHMCS
• Experience with multiple programming languages
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate challenges, deadline estimates, and progress updates.
• Education/Experience - Bachelors degree in relevant field of study or equivalent professional experience
• Five years of Linux / *nix system troubleshooting or a related certification (RHCE)
• Five to ten years of software development experience
